Bellatrix Lestrange[src]

Spinner's End was one of the poorer streets in Cokeworth, England, a small and poverty-stricken mill town[1]. The other residents of Cokeworth felt it was far from a commendable address, and alienated the residents[2].

The street consisted of a number of dilapidated, identical brick houses with broken, shattered, boarded windows and doors, separated from a dirty and odorous river surrounded by tall grass by a thick, rusty metal railing[1].

Tobias, Eileen and Severus Snape lived here together at 4 Spinner's End until first Tobias and then Eileen died, leaving Severus to wallow here alone in the bitterness and loneliness of his childhood memories[1]. As Severus was a Professor at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, he was rarely at the place[1].
