Professor of Care of Magical Creatures
He loved dangerous magical creatures, so much so that he continually ignored the dangers they imposed, and often caused damage to both himelf and those around him. Indeed, by the end of his teaching career in September of 1993, he had only one arm and half a leg.
He was replaced by Professor Rubeus Hagrid, and his colleague and later employer Albus Dumbledore presented him with an enchanted set of wooden prosthetics that had to be replaced regularly due to Professor Kettleburn's unfortunate habit of visiting dragon sanctuaries.
