Species information

An owl is a usually nocturnal bird of prey found worldwide[1].

In November of 1981, newsreader Edward Tonks commented on the fact that hundreds of owls had been flying every which way since sunrise all across Britain, saying that the greatest experts were at a loss to understand the phenomenon and then allowing himself a brief grin[1], most likely because he, being a Muggle-born wizard, would know that the owls were actually being sent by wizards across the country to celebrate Harry Potter Day and the subsequent defeat of Voldemort by Harry Potter[1].
