The Bloody Baron was born into British nobility, and attended Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry in the House of Slytherin, taught by Salazar Slytherin himself. Also in his year but in Ravenclaw House was Helena Ravenclaw, the daughter of Rowena Ravenclaw. He was quick to fall in love with the haughty but beautiful and brilliant young witch, a passion she did not share.
Tragedy and deathEdit
Upon graduating from Hogwarts, he claimed his rightful title, and neither saw nor heard from Ravenclaw for many years.
One day later in his life, he was called for by Rowena Ravenclaw, who had fallen fatally ill. There, he learned that Helena had run away with her mother's diadem, and Rowena begged the Baron to find her, knowing that he would not rest until he had done so. He found her in a forest in Albania, a place she thought would be far beyond her mother's reach; she hid the diadem when she heard him coming, and tried to hide. He, however, found her and tried to persuade her to accompany him home; she refused.
He grew angry at her constantly denying him, at her freedom, at her abandoning her mother so close to the latter's death, and, jealous of her freedom and anguished by her rejection of him, grew violent. He drew his blade and stabbed her in the heart, leaving a gaping wound on her breast. When he saw what he had done, he was overcome with grief and remorse and, devastated by what he had done, took his own life with the same blade with which he had stolen hers.
Personality and traitsEdit
The Baron was a very determined man with great perseverence, spending many months at one task and not resting until he achieved his goals, a trait he was renowned for in his life. However, he had a terribly hot temper and quickly became furious at the slightest provocation.
